Holger Marschall Biography

Holger Marschall was born in Hannover, Lower Saxonia, in the north of Germany in 1952. A sporting accident at the age of 18 introduced him, after an odyssey of years of physical treatment, to the Alexander-Technique. He studied this fascinating concept in Israel, England and Switzerland with the most remarkable teachers and became one of the first teachers and experts in Germany.
Holger is a member of the GLAT (German Alexander-Technique Association) and STAT (Society of Teachers of the Alexander-Technique in England) and a senior teacher with more than 28 years of teaching and coaching experience. He has coached and trained highly placed persons in the European Parliament in Strasbourg (France). In his capacity as a university lecturer, he coached famous and well known artists and musicians throughout Europe. His wide range of interests allows him to work with athletes, golfers and horse-riders, as well as with handicapped children, pregnant women, physical therapists and doctors in hospitals. He is a humorous person and gifted story teller who enjoys to stay and live with his family and grandchild in Rome (Italy) or Denver (CO). With his wife, Manuela, he co-wrote the book “The Infinite Heart of the Indigo Child” which will be published in English in November 2008.		Prof. Holger Marschall with his wife
As a lecturer Holger was invited to speak at various international congresses: 2nd International Congress for Breathing and Speech Problems at Salzburg (Austria) 2005 3rd International Congress for Physiotherapy with Children at Villach (Austria) 2003 5th International Congress for Physiotherapy at Vienna (Austria) 2004 9th International Congress for Physiotherapy at Ljubljana (Slovenia) 2002 As a university lecturer with a great reputation Holger has a many years teaching experience and knows how to motivate young people: University of Music at Munich, Bavaria (Germany) Superior Provincial School of Health, Bozen (Italy) Private University of Witten-Herdecke (Germany) Holger has worked as a consultant and adviser for the skilled producer of ergonomic chairs F.W. Dauphin – Office Interiors and is the published author of the article “Expert Opinion: How to Avoid Physical and Mental Tiredness in the Work Place”
